Inspired by antique sundials, Shifting Times represents a poetic interpretation of the passing of time, what dies and what remains. Sibylle’s work is sculptural and based on story telling through collecting memories and objects that become whimsical through their transformation. Side table in solid travertine with a matte antiquated finish, an inlaid circle in black tala noir, a molded brass branch with leaves and grass hoppers gilded in 21 Carats.

The Lebanese sculptor and painter is represented by a monumental looped serpent constructed painstakingly out of over 16,000 single units of cast bronze. The handmade entangled band is 11 meters long and boasts of a dramatic, ever unfolding geometric patterns. Called 'Ouroboros', the commanding sculpture takes inspiration from the ancient allegory of the serpent eating its tail, which represents the cycle of life. In her own 'Ouroboros', the artist plays with the metaphor of eternal recurrence, a notion that resonates with contemporary culture and bears an archetypal significance to the struggle of the human psyche.

Shifted Veneers, Striped Tin Inlay.

A synergy between the organic markings of nature and the rational lines of geometry, the Carapace tables play with exaggerated cellular patterns through the craft of marquetry whereby subtle shifts in wood veneers emphasize the shell-like patterns. The subtle colors of the shifted veneers envelope the smooth forms of the round edges, a challenge for the craftsman to attain. Occasionally the pattern is further emphasized using tin inlay at the edges, this craft technique is named ‘shifting veneer’.

Doily’s aspiration is to revive an old tradition that seemed to be lost. The Crochet, an object dear to our memory that reminds us all of the lovely moments in our grandparents’ house. We rendered the crochet no longer just an ornament, but a central part of the table itself, its story, its memory. Copper and stainless steel, two everlasting materials, interlace to form this accent table, making it a unique piece that stands out in any room.
