Rumi DalleHermès

Hermès, one of the most recognized still family-run business fashion houses in the world, and Rumi Dalle have partnered together on Beirut’s most creative luxury store windows. She has been responsible for the creation of every Hermès Beirut store window since 2013, and remains the only Lebanese to have done so. So highly regarded of her work, Hermès took the extraordinary step of inviting Rumi to Paris this summer where she presented her work and shared her process with the Hermès creative team.
This collaboration further enhances our mission to expose Lebanese talent to global knowhow and furthers our commitment in collaborating with globally renowned institutions, such as Hermès.

Roula SalamounBeirut Design Fair

2019, Beirut

Lebanese architect and designer, Roula Salamoun produces limited-edition pieces for 'Anatomy', her collection in collaboration with House of Today which explores the relationship between human bodies and the space they occupy. Appearing as anthropomorphic landscapes in interior living spaces, the console and mirror originate from casts created from different body parts and give new meaning to high-performance concrete. The console was originally conceived for 'Elevate', while the mirror was later conceived and commissioned to Beirut Design Fair's 2019 edition as part of the collection. 
 

House of TodayLebMASH

2019, Beirut

House of Today has donated two Doily tables to LebMASH’s benefit auction in Beirut as a support to their mission. The limited-edition tables by Marie-Lyne Samaha and Anthony Daher, Doily was exclusively designed for House of Today’s fourth design exhibition.
LebMASH is a non-profit founded in 2014 with a mission to use research, awareness raising and policy change to achieve equity in health with focus on sexual health and the health of marginalized groups such as LGBT people.

2019, London

With the support of House of Today's founder, Nathalie Khayat's 'Untitled' from 'The Eye Above the Well' series were acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London as part of its permanent middle-eastern collection.

V&A is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design.

Najla El Zein V&A

2019, London

With the support of House of Today's founder, Najla El Zein's three series 'Distortion' and 'Seduction' were acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum in London as part of its middle-eastern permanent collection.

Zeina Abul Hosn & Marianne SargiSursock Museum

2018, Beirut

Zeina Aboul-Hosn and Marianne Sargi collaborated for the first time to create a collection of unique pieces for The Beirut Collection curated by Ghassan Salameh for Adorno.
“Unhearthly” is an installation of mushrooms and tall bottles hand-crafted and hand-glazed by the creators. The mushrooms are Marianne’s creation and the tall bottles are Zeina’s.
House of Today introduced this project to the Sursock Museum and it is now part of the museum’s collection.

The monstrous installation once conceived by artist and designer Tamara Barrage for House of Today was later on show at the fundraiser night of Beirut Art Residency.

2018, Yerevan

Vrouyr Joubanian’s decant bottles were part of Jungle Protocol’s showcase and now these bottles appear again to be featured at TUMO gallery in Yerevan, Armenia.

House of Today’s mission is to represent Lebanese design pieces in renowned institutions locally and internationally. Amongst them the Lebanese Embassy to France. 
Following House of Today’s exhibition ‘Design Diplomacy’, the Gentlemen side table by Sayar & Garibeh was donated by House of Today to the embassy as an iconic Lebanese design piece part of the permanent Villa’s historical and artistic collection

2018, Paris

His excellency the Ambassador of Lebanon to France, opens Villa Copernic to an exhibition curated by Marc Baroud in collaboration with House of Today.
The installation features eleven of Lebanon’s leading contemporary product designers, integrated within the Embassy’s historic building at 42 Rue Copernic in the city’s 16th arrondissement, the installation featured helps build a further bridge between French and Lebanese cultures.

Roula SalamounIwan Maktabi

2018, Nepal

Iwan Maktabi, the renowned carpet manufacturer and trader collaborates with
House of Today, on a trip to Nepal. House of Today designer, Roula Salamoun has been selected to join the Iwan Maktabi group on a trip to discover Nepal and its people’s great craftsmanship. This collaboration further enhances House of Today's mission to expose the Lebanese talent to global knowhow and furthers the commitment in collaborating with respected Lebanese institutions that share the same value for design.

As of April 2018, House of Today is a permanent contributor to the Cedar Wings, the bi-monthly inflight magazine of Middle-East Airlines.

Beirut-based designer and journalist Zeina Aboul-Hosn conceived the tall bottles part of Unhearthly, which are now commissioned to the Lebanese National Museum of Beirut thanks to an introduction by House of Today.

2015, Warehouse421, Abu Dhabi

House of Today presents Capture by Carlo Massoud, for The Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation at Warehouse 421 in Abu Dhabi.
Capture is a vast assemblage of thirty crafted construction vehicles of three types, handmade from brushed brass and arranged around a central light structure landmark.
The installation highlights the power of man-made icons and the use of new technology that allows us to shape cities, modernize infrastructures and create architectural masterpieces.

Hermès window installation for the Summer Season by Rumi Dalle.
The scenography displays a parallel between two worlds; the underwater world and that of a modern city. Both metropolises render a context under which the act of strolling is fulfilled.

House of Today talented designers made it all the way to New York to the
Market Art + Design Fair in Bridgehampton.
Kamal Aoun, Marc Baroud, Vrouyr Joubanian and Carlo Massoud were amongst the selected designers.
The works of these designers are part of the permanent collection of the selling e-platform Letternoon, which is based in NYC and showcases design from the middle east.

Najla El Zein and House of Today are pleased to have donated the feather Sensorial Brush; Tickle (edition 3/12) to SEAL's gala dinner.
SEAL (www.seal-usa.org) is a non-profit based in the US, which purpose is to implement social projects in Lebanon to improve lives of people in rural areas.

Landor approached House of Today to create a series of bespoke gifts for Etihad.
The brief was assigned to Kamal Aoun to create three individual gifts, each inspired by the new Etihad look and feel. These gifts were given as a congratulations on the launch of the new era of Etihad Airways.

Hermes Lebanon came to House of Today looking for a designer whose meticulous work is driven by a remarkable attention to details. Rami Dalle was the perfect choice. Rami designed Hermes’ window display under the theme of reincarnation, giving life to the mannequins by crowning them with wreaths made of real exotic butterfly wings.

Magrabi Optical reached out to House of Today to identify a qualified architect to work on its central support office in Egypt. HoT connected Magrabi with Marc Baroud, who was commissioned to design the 4,000 sqm space.

Najla El ZeinThe Wind Portal

2013, London

As part of the London Design Festival 2013, Lebanese designer, Najla El Zein, created The Wind Portal, a dramatic gateway constructed from 5,000 paper windmills turning in the breeze. This walk-through installation created a playful airway, drawing wind and light into the galleries beyond. HoT helped raise funds in order to bring this project to life.

Through House of Today’s network, in 2012, Marc Baroud’s “Flesh Toys”, created for House of Today, were placed for sale at House of Waris, a renowned gallery in Venice, Italy.

Rumi DalleThe Counter

House of Today provided Rumi Dalle, a young, upcoming designer, with the opportunity to design the shop windows for The Counter Eyewear Boutique, over a period of time. Rumi developed 6 different themes, making use of complete creative liberty. The window displays provided her with the opportunity to express her skills, free from artistic limitations.
